You want to show the world what you’re made of? While visitors explore the trade fair, every second counts for you on the FireFit course. From Monday to Thursday, it’s all about giving your all to qualify for the finals of the European Championships on Friday (individual) and Saturday (tandem + relay). These are open European championships, so in addition to Europeans, firefighters from all over the world are welcome to sign up for this competition.
As long as a starting place is available, you can also compete on several qualifying days to improve your time.
Please note that the event tickets do not include an admission ticket to the trade fair!
All participants will have the opportunity to purchase a discounted weekly pass to the trade fair directly from the INTERSCHUTZ ticket shop. ONE personalised discount code, that can only be used once, will be sent to every registered participant. Only ONE discounted season ticket is available per athlete. We will send the personalised discount code to the email address you used for the registration for the competition shortly before start of the INTERSCHUTZ. This is only possible if you have redeemed your FireFit Ticketcode by May 15, 2026 at the latest and all starters have been added to the team for tandem and relay races.
Special Ticket Rookie Run:
The ‘Rookie Runs’ on Monday and Tuesday are intended for all motivated newcomers who want to try their best without appearing in the rankings. Participation is possible from the age of 16 with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Specific features of the European Championship
- Multiple runs: On a qualification day, you are allowed to run 1x individual, 2x tandems (one same-sex and one mixed) and one relay. In tandem and relay race, team partners may not be changed within a scoring class. For the European Championship, you have to decide which scoring class you want to compete in. You can only compete in one scoring class per competition category (individual, tandem and relay).
- Qualification – finals: After the qualifying rounds, we will announce the “cut-off time” for each scoring class. The top five of each scoring group will make it to the to the finals, which will then be filled up with participants who finished faster than the cut-off time.
- Registration – finals: We need each participant/team to let us know whether they want to compete in the final. For tandem and relay, we need to know which scoring class should advance to the final.
- Expenses: There are no addtinal fees for participating in the finals.
